Nowadays, almost all air conditioning, conveying or exhausting systems need monitoring of gas flow. Gas flow monitors are required to have high reliability and minimal pressure loss.
KOBOLD Messring GmbH offers all users an optimal solution with the flow monitor of the KAL-L series. The flow monitor KAL-L works according to the calorimetric principle.
The sensor is heated up to a few degrees above the medium temperature. When the medium flows, the heat generated in the sensor is transferred to the medium, i.e., the sensor is cooled. This cooling process is a measure of the flow velocity. A second sensor measures the medium temperature. The compact mounted electronics compares the resistance of both sensors by means of a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and switches an output relay if the actual value drops below the set switching value. In addition to the 2-colour LED indication, the current flow rate can also be read on a 8-digit LED bargraph.
The adjustable switching range between 1-20 m/s fulfills the specifications of almost all systems. The installation by compression fitting or clamping flanges also allows retrofitting into existing plants.
