 KOBOLD TRS Series thermal reed temperature switches are ideal for temperature monitoring and control applications in pipes where a simple, reliable design and ease of installation are required. The TRS switch operates on the reed switch principle. Thermal reed switches are used for both temperature monitoring and control. They are characterized by their long service life and operational reliability. A particular advantage is their excellent repeatability, because thermal reed switches are virtually insensitive to the service environment. In contrast to bi-metal thermostats, for example, the thermal reed switch-point is not affected by load current. For ease of installation, the TRS Series thermal reed temperature switch is supplied in a pipe tee in brass or stainless steel, from 1/4" to 1" line sizes. The contact has a normally closed (N/C) switching function and is available in one of 14 discrete set points ranging from 10 °C (50 °F) to 120 °C (248 °F).
