The resistance thermometers model TWL from the house of KOBOLD are especially designed for use in hazardous areas. The DIN-compliant products have ATEX approvals with ignition protection category Exd or Exia. The TWL are equipped with PT100 sensors Class A or B. Other sensors and ranges are also possible.

With help of multiple freely definable details, the devices can be configured optimally for each application. There is a choice between a single sensor version and a double sensor version or with additional thermowell. The wiring of the sensors can be done in two, three or four wire technology.

In addition to devices without prepared process connection, there are others with threaded, flanged or weld-on connections on offer. The stainless steel 316L sensors and thermowells withstand  harsh process conditions and aggressive media very well.

Beside thermometers with resistance output, one may also have devices with local electronics in sensor head, which can optionally be delivered with outputs such as 4-20 mA, HART protocol or PROFIBUS®/ Fieldbus. For quick information on site an additional well readable digital display can be provided in the housing cover.
